Activity Tracking and Earning Vitality Points

The level of rewards can depend either on your Vitality Status or the Vitality Points you earned in the previous week or both.

1)Vitality Status – everyone starts on bronze (no points required) and the aim is to earn enough points to work you way through silver (800 points*) and gold (1600 points*) up to Platinum (2400 points*) Status which gives you the biggest discounts and rewards* points per person on the plan so double for a joint plan

2)Earning points to get your rewards and increase your status. This is achieved through a combination of Activity Tracking and Basic Health Checks

ACTIVITY TRACKING

Use a smartphone app called moves, or a compatible activity tracker device (many from Polar, Garmin and Apple with substantial discounts) devices with a heart rate monitor are most effective. This will give you Vitality Points for your activity. You just link the device to your Vitality account it will do the rest for you automatically i.e. Running for 30 minutes = 10 points 30 minutes exercise at 70% of maximum heart rate = 10 points 60 minutes cycling = 10 points Not all activities have to be high impact or aerobic, Vitality reward you just for being active 12500 recorded steps in a day = 10 points, 10000 gives you 5 points and just 7000 gives you 3 points. You might be able to earn maximum activity points just for walking your dog.

Health Checks

When you get your Vitality log ins just complete a simple online survey about your lifestyle and arrange a basic Vitality Health Check at your local Lloyds Pharmacy where they check blood pressure; Body Mass Index; glucose and cholesterol levels and smoker status. This alone could potentially earn you all the points you need to get to Silver status (max 880 points).
